| R287624 Leading Aircraftman (RCAF wireless air gunner) Edwin Orville Cuthill (b.1924) of Fleming died 19440906 and is buried at Inglesfield cemetery north of Maryfield. Cuthill was on harvest leave from No. 2 Wireless School, Calgary, Alberta, and was driving his father's grain truck when he failed to stop at a crossing at Fleming and was obliterated by the eastbound CPR passenger train. He was the son of Robert Graham and Christina (Gregg) Cuthill. Edwin was born at Virden, Manitoba, and was farming with his family when he enlisted at Winnipeg late in 1943. |
