Narrative history
  R61608 Sergeant (No. 405 City of Vancouver Squadron RCAF observer) John Colvin Crump (b.1921) of Regina was KIA 19410724 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial just west of London, England, for airmen from the north European theatre who died with no known grave. Crump's Wellington failed to return from operations over Brest, France. He was the son of Henry Neville Compson and Kathleen Mary (Beveridge) Crump who came from Somerset, England. John was born at Pense, attended Thomson school and Campion college and was working as a stock clerk at Simpson's when he enlisted at Regina in 1940.
