Narrative history
  Captain (Canadian Dental Corps) William Robert Cooper (b.1902) of Moose Jaw was KIA 19450115 when an enemy shell exploded on his mobile clinic at Russi, Italy. Cooper is buried at Ravenna war cemetery, Piangipane. He was the son of William Alexander and Mary (Ferguson) Cooper and left a wife Annie Mildred and two children, Joan and William III, all of Moose Jaw. William studied dentistry at the University of Toronto and practiced at Moose Jaw from 1925 until he enlisted at Regina in late 1941. His brother Fred also served with the Dental Corps overseas.
