J17934 Pilot Officer (No. 218 Gold Coast Squadron RAF pilot) Carman MacKenzie Colquhoun (b.1922) of Maple Creek was KIA 19430922 and is buried at Hanover war cemetery, Harrenburg, Germany. Colquhon's Stirling went missing in a raid on Hanover. He was the youngest son of Peter Chesnut and Idella Maud (Nash) Colquhoun who came from Dundas Co., Ontario, to homestead NW23-12-26-W3 north of Maple Creek. Carman attended Motherwell school and Maple Creek high and was clerking in a drugstore when he enlisted at Regina in 1941. His older brother James (Mac) also served with the RCAF and spent more than two years as a POW. The boys were the nephews of Alexander J. Colquhoun, Liberal MLA for Maple Creek 1917-21. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
