Narrative history
  J5957 Pilot Officer (RCAF pilot) Robert Charles Colley (b.1919) of Trail, British Columbia, died 19410926 and is buried at St. Martins new burial ground, Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland. Colley's Defiant aircraft crashed at East Fortune on a training flight from No. 60 Operational Training Unit. Robert was the son of Fred William and Mary (Fraser) Colley. Fred operated a garage and a well drilling business at Denzil before moving to Toronto after the war. Robert was selling advertising for a newspaper at Trail when he enlisted at Vancouver late in 1940.
