Narrative history
  L22678 Signalman (Royal Canadian Corps of Signals) Charles Vincent Cole (b.1891) of Markinch died 19420518 at Vimy Barracks, Kingston, Ontario, of a coronary thrombosis and is buried at Regina cemetery. He was born at Bowmanville, Durham Co. Charles served overseas during World War I and worked as a telephone lineman in the Markinch area between the wars. He enlisted at Regina late in 1940, leaving a wife Ida Alma, son Vincent and daughter Laverne.
