Narrative history
  J16374 Pilot Officer (No. 59 Squadron RAF Fortress wireless air gunner) George Cojocar (b.1921) of Regina was KIA 19430323 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial just west of London, England, for airmen from the north European theatre who died with no known grave. He was the son of Dragosh and Rosa Cojocar who came from Saraiu in the Dobruja region of Romania in 1901 and settled at SW19-6-3-W3 just west of Flintoft. They moved to Assiniboia in 1921 and to Regina a decade after that. George was born at Assiniboia, educated there and at Regina and was working for a dry cleaner when he enlisted at Regina in 1940.

WC Zapfe died on the same flight.
