Narrative history
  L105049 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) George Robert Coe (b.1924) of Wawota was KIA 19440709 at Caen and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. He was the son of Ernest Percival (Percy) and Agnes (Fern) Coe. Ernest, a native of Ipswich, Suffolk, England, won the Military Medal at Hill 70 during World War I. He became a forester and was posted to Kenosee in 1924. The family farmed at Wawota from 1936. George was born at Wawota and was farming when he enlisted at Regina early in 1943.
