| L102990 Corporal (Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps) Leslie Thomas Chancellor (b.1922) of Lucky Lake died 19460701 and is buried at Brookwood military cemetery near London, England. Chancellor served in Italy and northwestern Europe. He was part of a convoy which halted, and when he dismounted from his vehicle he was struck by a truck heading in the opposite direction. He died four days later of a fractured skull. Leslie was the son of Thomas Edward and Elsie Chancellor who came from Meer Wall Rhyne, Somerset, England, to SW28-22-8-W3 in the Rocky Ledge district in 1924. Leslie was farming with his family when he enlisted at Saskatoon late in 1942. |
