Narrative history
  L111589 Private (Canadian Machine Gun Training Centre) Ivie Francis Casat (b.1926) of Maple Creek, where he is buried, died 19451101. Casat was struck by a car and died at Camp Borden hospital, Ontario. He was the only son of Andre Casat who came from Spain to homestead SE1-2-23-W3 in the Staynor Hall district southwest of Claydon. His marriage to Mary (Wilson) dissolved shortly after Ivie was born at Shaunavon, and mother and son moved to Maple Creek. Ivie was a ranch hand when he enlisted at Regina early in 1945.
