| L2379 Private (Saskatoon Light Infantry) Hillard James Cameron (b.1906) of Saskatoon died 19410601 and is buried at Brookwood military cemetery near London, England. Cameron attended a dance and reportedly got super loaded; he was hit from behind in the road by a truck that was never identified. He was a native of Summerside, Prince Co., Prince Edward Island, and was a truck driver when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1940. Hillard left a wife Nora and children Arlene, Nancy and George (Nora and kids later moved to Ottawa). |
