Narrative history
  R203548 Warrant Officer 2 (No. 298 Squadron RAF air gunner) James Ewart Bunn (b.1924) of Broadview was KIA 19450324 and is buried at Reichswald Forest war cemetery, Kleve, Germany. Bunn's Halifax crashed near Bocholt after dropping parachute troops for the crossing of the Rhine near Wessel. He was the son of Donald Norman and Mabel (Boustead) Bunn who farmed at 18-17-5-W2 north of Broadview. James was born on the farm, educated at Elcapo school and Broadview high and was farming with his family when he enlisted at Regina late in 1942. He married Hughena Marjorie (Mackay) at Blandford, Dorset, England, just eleven days before his death.
