| L153007 Private (Algonquin Regiment) Thearon Brown (b.1922) of Antelope was KIA 19450303 during operations to clear the west bank of the Rhine and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian war cemetery near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. He was the son of Benjamin Harrison and Myrtle Brown who came from Wessington, Hand Co., South Dakota, to homestead NW30-13-17-W3 east of Gull Lake in 1909. Thearon was farming with his family when he became an NRMA private with the Pictou Highlanders late in 1942 and enlisted in the regular force at Fredericton, New Brunswick, early in 1944. |
