| L12717 Corporal (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Norman Ernest Frank Brinsdon (b.1921) of Moose Jaw was KIA 19440720. Brinsdon survived the Dieppe raid, but perished at Verrières Ridge and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Frank and Elsie Brinsdon and was working as a service station attendant when he enlisted at Weyburn in 1940. Norman married Ivy Violet of Camberwell, Greater London, England, after going overseas. |
