| B136535 Trooper (28th Armoured, British Columbia Regiment driver/mechanic) Douglas Jay Bovair (b.1924) of D'Arcy was KIA 19450228 during operations to clear the west bank of the Rhine and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian war cemetery near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. He was the son of Percival Henry and Mary Alice Bovair who retired to Summerland, British Columbia. Douglas was farming before enlisting at Toronto, Ontario, late in 1942. |
