Narrative history
  L105832 Private (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry) Charles Raymond (Ray) Botham (b.1924) of Plato was KIA 19440523 near Aquino during the assault on the Hitler line and is buried at Cassino war cemetery southeast of Rome, Italy. Ray was born at Plato and enlisted at Regina in 1943.

Brother of RJ Botham. They were the sons of Robert Samuel and Doris Lillian Botham. Both boys were farming and working in their father's draying business when they enlisted. Their brother William J. served in the RCAF while brother Harold K. was in the Armoured Corps.
