| L53556 Lance Sergeant (Fort Garry Horse) Ralph Alexander Boland (b.1920) of Sylvania was KIA 19440705 and is buried at Beny-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. He was the son of John Alexander and Emma Rose Boland who homesteaded NE3-15-5-W3 north of Shamrock and who later moved to Hamilton, Ontario. Ralph was born at Shamrock but moved to the farm at McKague as a boy. He was a farm labourer when he enlisted at Saskatoon early in 1941. |
