| R192336 Aircraftman 2 (RCAF) Russell Merlin Boe (b.1923) of Bateman, where he is buried, died 19430527. Boe died of pneumonia which developed as a complication of severe eczema while training at St. Thomas, Elgin Co., Ontario. He was the son of Carl and Mahalia Catherine Boe who came from Edmore, North Dakota, to homestead NE26-12-6-W3 northwest of Gravelbourg in 1912. Russell was farming when he enlisted at Regina late in 1942. His brother Lloyd also served in the RCAF. |
