Narrative history
  L65109 Private (Highland Light Infantry of Canada) Henry Thomas Blight (b.1920) of Bankend was KIA 19440714 near Caen and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. His father George came from north Devon, England, and served with the 46th Battalion during World War I, his mother Helen (Thiede) was from Michigan and they farmed south of Bankend. Henry was born at Kelliher and was farming when he enlisted at Regina early in 1942. His brother Frank was wounded while serving with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Germany.
