Narrative history
  L104007 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) Raymond Hector Blais (b.1924) of Rosetown was KIA 19440708 at Abbaye d'Ardennes and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. Raymond attended Albemarle school and was farming when he enlisted at Regina early in 1943.

Brothers Edward and Raymond Blais were killed within five days of each other in Normandy, and both are buried at Bény-sur-Mer. Their parents Odilon and Elizabeth Mary came from Dorchester Co., Québec, in 1907 to homestead SE32-28-14-W3 near where the Stockdill siding was later installed. Another brother Joseph served in the Artillery overseas.
