Narrative history
  R59272 Sergeant (No. 103 Squadron RAF Wellington air gunner) George Ralph Blackmore (b.1912) of Yorkton was KIA 19410910 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial just west of London, England, for airmen from the north European theatre who died with no known grave. He was the son of David Evans and Gertrude (Sigvard) Blackmore of Dauphin, Manitoba. George was a clerk with the Bank of Toronto (he had earlier served at Preeceville) when he enlisted at Winnipeg in 1940. Later that year he married Elsie Bertha (Hart) at Timmins, Ontario.
