Narrative history
  L27739 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) Fredrick Thomas Best (b.1921) of Maymont was KIA 19440708 at Abbaye d'Ardennes and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. He was the son of Harry and Rosemary Best who came from London, England, to homestead SE18-40-12-W3 southeast of Spinney Hill. Fred was a farm labourer before enlisting at North Battleford in 1940. His brother Phillip also served overseas with the Army.
