Narrative history
  L86891 Private (Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders) Alfred Edward Beeds (b.1912) of Boutin was KIA 19440721 during the push to Falaise and is commemorated on the Bayeux Memorial for soldiers who died in the invasion of Normandy, France, but have no known grave. He was the son of Edwin and Helena (Isbister) Beeds who homesteaded NW20-50-6-W3 on the edge of the Ahtahkakoop reserve north of Mont Nebo. Alfred was working his own farm north of Mont Nebo when he enlisted at Prince Albert early in 1942.
