Narrative history
  R114549 Flight Sergeant (RCAF Ferry Command pilot) (August) Leroy Beckwall (b.1922) of Radville died 19421205 and is buried at Laurier cemetery, Radville. Beckwall was with Ferry Command at Dorval, Quebec, and was killed when his Hudson aircraft stalled and crashed on landing at Houlton, Maine. His parents John and Hilda (Johnson) Beckwall came from South Dakota to homestead NE16-7-18-W2 just south of the Abbott siding, and his mother was well known as a midwife in the district. Leroy was a student when he enllisted at Regina in 1941. His brother Walter also flew with Ferry Command, they were the nephews of AA Beckwall, a WWI casualty.
