Narrative history
  J88413 Pilot Officer (No. 619 Squadron RAF navigator) Sigmund Bernard Bandur (b.1915) of Calgary, Alberta, was KIA 19440522 and is buried at Brookwood military cemetery in Surrey near London, England. Bandur's Lancaster was shot down by an enemy fighter and crashed at Wretham, Kent. He was the son of Polish pioneers Barney and Angelia Jarva (Dzeirwa) Bandur who came to the Bonnie Brae district southeast of Outlook via the United States. Sigmund was born at Broderick, moved to Calgary in 1939 to work as a carpenter for Cominco and enlisted three years later at Edmonton.
