Narrative history
  L86943 Private (Saskatoon Light Infantry) Thomas Arthur (Tom) Balliet (b.1923) of Yorkton was KIA 19431208 by enemy artillery fire and is buried at Moro River Canadian war cemetery, Ortona, Chieti, Italy. He was the son of Phillip and Eva Balliet. Tom was clerking at Buckle's grocery store when he enlisted at Prince Albert in 1942. His brother Bill also served in Italy.
