| L105253 Private (South Saskatchewan Regiment) John Bader (b.1913) of Eatonia was KIA 19440828 at Forêt de la Londe during the pursuit to the Seine and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Daniel and Mary Bader who came to N31-25-24-W3 south of Glidden in 1918 and later moved to Hanna, Alberta. John was born at Leader, attended Quinney school and was farming when he enlisted at Regina early in 1942. |
