| L65025 Private (Regina Basic Training Centre, Infantry) Carl Allan Andrew (b.1919) of Macrorie, where he is buried, died 19420421. His father William Carlton Andrew came from Port Hope, Ontario, in 1908 to homestead SE12-27-9-W3, his mother Alice (Shorter) was born in Kent, England. Carl, who attended Monmawala school, enlisted at Regina early in 1942. He took ill during training and died in hospital at Regina of multiple ulcerations of the small intestine. His brother William also served in the Army. |
