| L101638 Lance Corporal (Royal Canadian Engineers) Arthur Percy Allen (b.1908) of Regina died 19440110 and is buried at Tisdale cemetery. Allen was riding a bicycle at the engineers school at Chilliwack, British Columbia, when he collided with another soldier, suffering a skull fracture which took his life a week after the accident. Arthur was the son of Walter C. and Emily Allen of Hamilton, Ontario, and worked as an engineer/surveyor with the Highways department before the war. He was born at Hamiota, Manitoba, enlisted at Regina in 1942 and left a wife Ina May later of Tisdale. |
