Narrative history
  1250503 Gunner (4th Brigate, Canadian Field Artillery driver) Lloyd Ashley Banbury (b.1894) of Regina was KIA 19170417 near Vimy and is buried at Vimy communal cemetery north of Arras, Pas-de-Calais, France. Banbury was killed by an enemy shell while servicing his gun. He was the son of Edwin A. and Edith E. Banbury of Wolseley, see Banbury Lake in Geographic Names of Saskatchewan. Lloyd had been forced to give up his studies at the University of Toronto by the loss of an eye, and was articling at a Regina law firm when he enlisted in 1916.
