The Royal Canadian Legion branch no. 273 began February 6, 1946. The motto of the Royal Canadian Legion is Memoriam Eorum Retinebimus We Will Remember Them.

The Archerwill and district historical society has compiled a listing of those members serving for the armed forces from the area of Algrove, and Archerwill in the local history book entitled, The Past To The Present. Algrove, Archerwill, Barrier Lake, Bradgate, Dahlton, Echo Park, Everton, Felton Grove, Loring, Marneau Lake, Newgate Park, Nobleville, Nora, Port Arthur. Included, as well are as many photos submitted by family members.

Included in the listing are those who served with the U.S. army, the Polish army and the Swedish army in World War I as well as an extensive listing of those who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. The personnel who served in World War II, the Korean War, and post war are also listed.

Archerwill, village locates at section 18- township 40- range 13-West of the 2nd meridian or at Latitude – Longitude : 52º 26′ 20” N, 103º 51′ 40” W. This location is on the concurrence of Saskatchewan highways 35 and 349. Algrove, an unincorporated area locates 5 kilometers or 3 miles from Archerwill.
