Narrative history
  R70975 Flight Sergeant (No. 61 Squadron RAF wireless air gunner) Albert Cranston Yates (b.1921) of Regina was KIA 19420910 and is buried at Reichswald Forest war cemetery, Kleve, Germany. Yates' Lancaster went down near Krefeld. He was the son of Albert Martin, a tailor, and Maud (Cranston) Yates. Albert Jr. was born at Olds, Alberta, and attended both Scott collegiate and Balfour Tech prior to enlisting at Regina late in 1940.
