Narrative history
  J18652 Flying Officer (No. 419 Moose Squadron RCAF pilot) Bruce Douglas Walker AFM (b.1922) of Kisbey was KIA 19440808 and is buried at Auberville-la-Renault churchyard, Seine-Maritime, France. Walker's Lancaster was shot down over Caen. He was recommended for the AFM early in 1944 for distinguished service in training pilots and logged more than 340 flying hours in 1943-44. Bruce was farming with his family when he enlisted at Regina in 1941.

Brother of WA Walker. They were the sons of Andrew Allan and Helen Estella (Atkinson) Walker, farmers. The boys were born at Alameda and educated at Kisbey.

Air Force Medal citation:
This airman has shown enthusiasm and energy whilst employed as a staff pilot. He takes an interest in his pupils' work and assists them in any way possible. He has set a splendid example.

JC Durrant died on the same flight.
