Narrative history
  R155648 Flight Sergeant (No. 191 Squadron RAF air gunner) Leslie Gordon Smith (b.1922) of Regina was KIA 19430524 and is buried at Jonkerbos war cemetery just southwest of Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. Smith's Lancaster failed to return from a night raid. He was the only son of Charles and Maggie (Williams) Smith, both Scottish. Leslie attended Thomson school and Balfour Tech and was working for United Steel at Welland, Ontario, when he enlisted at Regina early in 1942.
