Narrative history
  R94982 Warrant Officer 2 (No. 408 Goose Squadron RCAF pilot) Dean William Smith (b.1919) of Regina was KIA 19430207 over Lorient, France, and is buried at Guidel communal cemetery, Morbihan west of Vannes. Smith's Halifax was lost during night operations. He was the son of Conrad Oran and Minne Maud (Williams) Smith who came from Iowa. Dean graduated from Scott collegiate and enlisted at Regina in 1941.

DM Brackenridge died on the same flight.
