Narrative history
  R61579 Leading Aircraftman (RCAF aero engine mechanic) (William) Dennis Riley (b.1921) of Regina died 19411215 and is buried in the soldiers' plot at Regina cemetery. Riley's Stranraer crashed at Nanoose Bay, Vancouver Island, at the end of his training at No. 13 Operational Training Unit. He was the son of William and Alice (Arnold) Riley. Dennis was educated at North Regina school and Balfour Tech before enlisting at Regina in 1940.

RA Blakeley and RT Mitchell died in the same incident.
