Narrative history
  R132192 Flight Sergeant (No. 419 Moose Squadron RCAF bomb aimer) Owen Harvey Phoenix (b.1920) of Regina was KIA 19430726 and is buried at Reichswald Forest war cemetery, Kleve, Germany. Phoenix' Halifax crew had completed their bomb run over Essen and entered a cloud bank when the tail of their aircraft was clipped by another and they crashed at Dusseldorf. He was the son of Joseph Oliver and Edith Pearl (Real) Phoenix, farmers. Owen was born at Regina, educated at Field school, Sedley, and Balfour Tech and was working as a warehouse clerk for Western Dry Goods when he enlisted at Regina late in 1941.
