Narrative history
  J11337 Pilot Officer (RCAF pilot) Jack Alpine McGregor (b.1921) of Regina died 19420613 and is buried in the soldiers' plot at Regina cemetery. McGregor was an instructor/test pilot at No. 6 Bombing & Gunnery School, Mountain View, Prince Edward Co., Ontario, when a wing came off his Nomad during strenuous manoeuvres and he crashed into the Bay of Quinte. He was the son of John Archibald, a dentist, and Alice Beatrice (Knox) McGregor. Jack graduated from Thomson school and Central collegiate and worked for a few months as an order clerk at Northern Electric before enlisting at Toronto, Ontario, in 1941.

McGregor is one of 22 members of First Presbyterian congregation to be commemorated on a stained glass window in the church, and to have their stories told in David G. Marshall, Stained Glass Name: A Dedication of Remembrance, published by the church in 2002.
