Narrative history
  J4105 Flight Lieutenant (RCAF pilot) Gordon Ward Mason (b.1917) of Regina died 19430531 and is buried at St. Michael churchyard, Ercall Magna northeast of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. Mason had already completed an operational tour when his Mosquito collided with a Spitfire over Shrewsbury while on a training flight from No. 60 Operational Training Unit. He was the son of Allan James, an insurance agent, and Harriet Agnes (Weller) Mason and left a wife Grayce Margaret (Pettigrew) at Trenton, Hastings Co., Ontario. Gordon was born at Earl Grey, educated at Victoria and Davin schools and Central collegiate and was a clerk for British American Oil when he enlisted at Regina in 1940. His brother Fred also served in the RCAF.
