Narrative history
  J15034 Flying Officer No. 418 City of Edmonton Squadron RCAF observer) Peter John Leboldus (b.1917) of Montréal, Québec, was KIA 19430213 and is buried at Grandcourt war cemetery east of Dieppe, Seine-Maritime, France. Leboldus' Douglas Boston fighter was shot down during night operations. Peter was educated at Vibank and Balfour Tech, Regina, worked as a mechanic for John Deere at Yorkton for three years, and was an electrician and painter for Haliburton & White at Montréal when he enlisted there in 1940.

One Leboldus boy survived war service, but two of Peter's brothers Martin and John also perished while with the RCAF. They were the sons of John, a hardware and implement dealer, and Regina (Weisberg) Leboldus. Regina was the Silver Cross Mother in 1955.
