  L59636 Sergeant (Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps armourer) (William) Joshua Larter (b.1921) of Regina was KIA 19431230 and is buried at Moro River Canadian war cemetery, Ortona, Italy. He was the son of Charles Joshua and Myrtle Hazel Larter. Joshua was born at Moose Jaw, raised at Belle Plaine and left a wife Margaretta Ann. He was working as a mail order clerk for Army & Navy when he enlisted at Regina early in 1942. His brother Bob became the MLA for Estevan in the 1970s.
