Narrative history
  R85212 Leading Aircraftman (No. 419 Moose Squadron RCAF airframe mechanic) Walter Robert Albert Jahnke (b.1921) of Regina died 19420915 and is buried at St. Nicholas churchyard extension, Cottesmore, Rutland, England. Jahnke's Wellington was on a two hour oil consumption test when it suddenly dove and crashed at Thursby east of Stamford, Lincolnshire. He was the son of Julius and Dorothy (Bachmann) Jahnke who later retired to Vancouver. Walter was born at Hatton northwest of Maple Creek, attended Thomson school and Balfour Tech and was a mechanic for Regina Repair Shop when he enlisted early in 1941.

RA Kinnee, LO Luten, GW Wilson and ED Lawley died on the same flight.
