  L27048 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) Lawrence William Franklin Hazelton (b.1915) of Regina was KIA 19440618 at Bray and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. He was the only child of William John and Estella Greta Hazelton who homesteaded NW18-28-21-W2 just southeast of Hatfield. Lawrence was born at Govan, attended Central collegiate and left a wife Edna Maxine Elizabeth (later Mrs. Fuerstenberg of Wynyard). He was working as a window dresser for Williams department store when he enlisted at Regina in 1940.
