Narrative history
  R61777 Warrant Officer 2 (No. 269 Squadron RAF pilot) Robert Lorraine Kitchener (Lonny) Forrester (b.1915) of Bromhead was KIA 19431122 and is buried at Fossvogur cemetery, Reykjavik, Iceland. Forrester's Hudson went down off Keilesnes Point while on patrol. He was the son of Robert William Forrester, who came from Scotland about 1905, and Louise (Hallick from North Dakota) who homesteaded SE4-3-13-W2 just west of Bromhead. Robert was a long time RM councillor and reeve and also served as Bromhead's mayor. Lonny was educated at Bromhead, at Balfour Tech, Regina, and at the University of Saskatchewan. He was working as a mechanic for his father when he enlisted at Regina in 1940 for groundcrew, but remustered to aircrew two years later.
