Narrative history
  J92982 Pilot Officer (No. 427 Lion Squadron RCAF air gunner) Howard John Cook (b.1919) of Hillmond was KIA 19441125 and is buried at Bellie burial ground, Moray, Scotland. Cook's Halifax was returning from mine laying operations when it crashed into the sea near Kingston, Moray. He was the son of George and Beatrice Susannah (Barr) Cook who homesteaded NE16-51-26-W3 southwest of Hillmond. Howard was born at Lloydminster and was farming with his family when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1941.

SG Hall died on the same flight.
