Narrative history
  L153550 Private (Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders) Louis Emil Chervek (b.1924) of Regina was KIA 19440829 at Forêt de la Londe and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Louis and Theresa Chervek who came from Budapest, Hungary. Louis was working as a lathe operator for Regina Industries when he enlisted at Winnipeg, Manitoba, early in 1944. He had spent more than a year on NRMA training.
