Narrative history
  Lieutenant (24th Battalion, Québec Regiment) Robert John McLean (b.1876) of Regina died 19190404 and is buried at Saint-Roch communal cemetery, Valenciènnes, Nord, France. McLean was involved in an accident that resulted in a compound fracture of his leg. Despite amputation, he died two days later of his injuries. He was the son of John and Jane McLean of Draperstown, Belfast, Ireland. Robert was active in the 29th Light Horse and was an insurance broker when he enlisted at Regina late in 1916.
