Narrative history
  1263700 Private (1st Canadian Mounted Rifles, Saskatchewan Regiment) Edward Martin (b.1886) of Noremac was KIA 19180929 on the outskirts of Cambrai and is buried at Saint-Olle British cemetery west of Cambrai, Nord, France. He was the son of Thomas and Christina Martin of Thornhill, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Edward was born at Closeburn and was farming west of Eston when he was drafted six months before his death.
