Narrative history
  Lieutenant (28th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) John Wasdale Lowes (b.1897) of Saskatoon was KIA 19181011 at Thun-Saint-Martin and is buried at Niagara cemetery, Iwuy northeast of Cambrai, Nord, France. He was the son of Caleb Lowes of Bosworth, Wellington Co., Ontario. John was a merchant and was active in the 105th Saskatoon Fusiliers when he enlisted at Prince Albert late in 1916.
