| 925113 Private (5th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) John Cawley (b.1882) of Ceylon was KIA 19170409 at Vimy Ridge and is buried at Nine Elms military cemetery, Thelus north of Arras, Pas-de-Calais, France. John came from Sligo, Sligo, Ireland, to homestead SE28-4-21-W2 south of Hardy and was farming when he enlisted at Weyburn at the end of 1915. His brother Joseph took over the homestead after the war. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
